The Facilities Management Unit is responsible for providing oversight of facility management across a large and diverse portfolio of owned and leased premises, management oversight of SAPOL's Government Employee Housing program, the Police Headquarters Mailroom function, and the delivery of facility management services for designated corporate facilities including Police Headquarters, the Police Academy, Echunga Police Training Reserve, Southern Property Store, Salisbury Impound, Netley Fleet Services, Ottoway Exhibit Property, and other sites as required.
The Manager Facilities Management Unit (FMU) is accountable to the Deputy Director Infrastructure & Assets for leading SAPOL's FMU to deliver hard and soft FM services, with key responsibility for ensuring high performing facilities and proactive resolution of facilities issues to ensure continuous operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include portfolio facilities budget management, effective program and resource planning, scheduled maintenance and breakdowns analysis to inform strategic asset planning, minor works and incorporation of sustainability measures within the asset portfolio, accommodation services, developing facilities management plans, policies and procedures, establishing regular site audit programs, and ensuring KPI frameworks for FM service agreements are met, regular management reporting, and engaging consultancy services or other internal and external subject experts to ensure a fit for purpose asset portfolio across the state.
Challenges
Challenges include the timely resolution of facilities issues in a critical operational policing environment and the ability to drive efficient, high quality and cost-effective outcomes through government contract facilities providers in works across the SAPOL portfolio.
Special Conditions
* The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
* The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
* Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
* The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO8 - $121,107 - $125,679 per annum.
