Full job description
Key responsibilities:
1. Support Tribunal decision-makers in the hearing room, including coordinating attendance of Tribunal users (using telephone and video conferencing) and managing exhibits during hearings.
2. Effectively and efficiently manage the recording and transcription services for QCAT proceedings, in line with responsibilities under the Recording of Evidence Act 1962.
3. Support the needs of clients and the general public attending proceedings.
4. Provide accurate information to registry staff and Tribunal members in a professional and friendly manner.
5. Undertake accurate computer-based processing using QCAT's file management systems and recording programs, including drafting and issuing tribunal orders.
6. Prepare and update documents using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
7. Prioritise tasks in a fast-paced and high-volume environment to enable the provision of effective hearing support services.
8. Complete general administrative tasks as required by Team Leaders and/or Manager to support the delivery of services within QCAT.
