Ecotourism representative member for Booderee National Park Board of Management Booderee National Park (BNP) Board of Management is seeking an engaged, proactive and reliable individual to fill the role of Ecotourism representative Board member for a 5-year term.
The Board is looking for someone ready to actively participate in meetings, contribute their expertise and insights, and play a role in guiding Ecotourism in BNP.
BNP is Aboriginal land and waters, owned by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council (WBACC) and leased to the Director of National Parks.
WBACC is the relevant Aboriginal Land Council for the park.
BNP is jointly managed by WBACC and the Director of National Parks through the BNP Board of Management.
The BNP Board of Management was established in 1996 and is currently constituted by the following 12 members:

The BNP Ecotourism representative Board member will: The BNP Board of Management meets four times a year, with eligible Board members paid for their time, travel and expertise, as per the Remuneration Tribunal (Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Part-time Public Office) Determination 2024.
Eligibility and appointmentThe BNP Ecotourism representative Board member is "a person knowledgeable about ecotourism activities within protected areas".
This Board member must be a person qualified to fulfil the position and be endorsed by the BNP Board of Management prior to appointment by the Minister for the Environment.
Appointee is required to undergo and satisfy a National Police Check.
