**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Ductwork Fitter to facilitate the installation of air handling systems in commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, assembling, and installing mechanical ductwork on-site. This will involve interpreting blueprints, selecting materials, cutting and shaping metal components, and ensuring high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
* Select appropriate materials (stainless steel, aluminum, copper, etc.).
* Mark out metal stock using templates and measuring tools.
* Cut, shape, and assemble components using tools like shears, drills, and guillotines.
* Weld, rivet, and join components into final products.
* Install assembled sheet metal products on-site.
* Repair damaged ductwork and ensure quality finishes.
* Take accurate site measurements and collaborate with other trades.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Engineering or relevant field (preferred), or minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
* Construction Safety Card.
* EWP (Yellow Card).
* Experience in team management.
* Ability to coordinate with other trades on-site.
* Proficient in operating machinery and electrical tools on-site.

Sydney Metro, with our warehouse located in Moorebank.
