Café Assistant / Barista (3-month contract) We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Café Assistant / Barista to join our Office Services team in the Melbourne office. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Café Assistant/Barista will be responsible for the operation of Russell Kennedy's internal café servicing both staff and clients, with assistance from other client services staff as required. Utilisation of Point of Sales System for food and beverage purchases. Provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients. Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages. Organise and prepare orders of food items. Assist Client Services Staff with coffee orders for internal and client meetings. Organise the stocktake and rotation of food and beverages. Place orders for food from nominated suppliers. Ensure that the cafe, food preparation and working areas and equipment are kept clean and hygienic in accordance with the agreed standards of quality at all times. Maintain stock levels of cafe supplies, cleaning chemicals and catering equipment and ensure that all supplies are stored safely and distributed efficiently when required. Abides by the legislation governing food service and hygiene in all activities. Maintains cyber security at all times. Cultivate an awareness of security risks, stay informed of latest cyber threats, instil best cyber security practises and take practical steps to protect the firm and client from cyber attacks. Other ad hoc duties as required. Skills/Knowledge Hospitality / catering experience preferred. Possess a good general knowledge of hospitality duties and responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience In a similar role within a professional services environment. Level 1 Food Handler certificate. Minimum year 12 or equivalent.
