You will be working for a global manufacturer that has been in operation for 20 years, with offices across multiple continents.
With a global headquarters and manufacturing site in Sydney, they are developing and manufacturing an Australian-made product used worldwide.
The Role
Day-to-day tasks include assisting the laboratory team with media preparation and maintaining equipment.
Other key responsibilities include:
* Prepare and sterilize microbiological media and other reagents, performing QC checks.
* Clean and maintain laboratory glassware, equipment, and environment.
* Maintain laboratory records according to QMS guidelines.
* Assist with biohazard waste disposal.
* Manage laboratory consumables stocks.
* Inventory management of laboratory gowns.
* Assist in equipment calibrations according to QMS guidelines.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or similar qualification, or relevant tertiary experience.
Prior experience in a laboratory setting is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work as part of a team and independently, with full working rights for Australia.
