We are looking for an Ecologist to help delivery our backlog of Stewardship Sites.

About the role
1. Field survey and subsequent report preparation for a variety of flora and fauna assessments.
2. Thorough understanding of the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM).
3. Preparation of a variety of environmental assessment and management reports including;Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs),.Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDAR),.Flora and Fauna Assessment Reports Vegetation Management Plans (VMP),.Biodiversity Management Plans, BSSARs.
4. Undertaking flora surveys throughout New South Wales including verification and mapping of threatened ecological communities, regional ecosystems, vegetation communities, threatened species and biosecurity species.
5. Maintaining relationships with clients and regulatory agencies, and leading the delivery of proposals and technical reports for clients .
About You
6. Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce clear and concise reports and correspondence.
8. Experience in classification and mapping of vegetation communities using the NSW BioNet Vegetation Classification.
9. Knowledge of threatened fauna, their habitat and management.
10. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a consulting ecology position (or industry equivalent) with relevant experience in the production of the aforementioned BDARs, REFs,, VMPs, BSSARs etc.
11. BAM accreditation.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. NSW driver's licence.
14. Willingness to travel, sometimes remotely, to perform duties as required by fieldwork.
