Job Title: General Practitioner - Tully
Practice Information:
The practice currently has 3 full time and 2 part time Doctors, 3 of whom are registrars. They have full time nursing support with registered and enrolled practice nurses. They have an exceptional team completed by a Practice Manager and reception staff. They are supported by a variety of visiting allied health professionals, a visiting O&G to the practice and a physician visiting the local hospital. They are a fully computerised and AGPAL accredited practice and have affiliations with James Cook University Medical School and GP training. X-ray services including ultrasound is provided locally. SNP are co-located within the practice and QML are also located nearby. CT scans are available in Innisfail which is 40klm to the north and full specialist services are available in Cairns 150klm away.
Position Description
We are looking for a full-time or part-time GP to complement our team. Hours are flexible and remuneration is 65% of gross billings. The practice has a mixture of private and bulk billing. Closures of our 2 nearest GP practices have increased the pressures on appointments for our practice.
After Hours: Yes
o After hours cover is optional. Currently the practice principal provides all the afterhours cover until 11pm each weeknight evening. Arrangements with the local hospital allows for them to take over the afterhours call outside these hours and on weekends. Call outs are infrequent

About Tully
Tully is a pretty coastal town situated halfway between the Regional Cities of Cairns and Townsville in Tropical Far North Queensland. It has a population of around 3000 with a further 3500 people in surrounding districts. The nearest hospital is Tully District Hospital which is a short drive around the corner. There are 2 primary schools (one public and one Catholic) and one high school.
