You examine, re-examine, license and evaluate new and experienced drivers in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations. Driver examiners must have excellent time management and organizational skills and exercise superior judgment skills. We require individuals who can work independently, meet deadlines, and strive to achieve customer satisfaction in all aspects of their work.Your key focus will be to conduct road tests and determine the knowledge and ability of drivers to safely operate commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles (Class 4, 5 and 7). Helping put safe drivers on our roads is important to the company and to all British Columbians. The offer of employment in the position of Driver Examiner will be conditional on the successful completion of the class 5 / 7 training and testing during your probationary period.Some locations may require regular overnight travel to conduct road tests and unit work in other nearby communities. Overnight travel may also be required to attend training, meetings, and road test coverage within a specific region. Hours of operation are subject to change.
