In Newcastle, they operate multiple sites, supporting 350 employees and delivering trusted services to the community.
Role Overview:
As the Regional HSE Business Partner for Newcastle, you will play a central role in driving workplace safety and compliance across multiple dealership sites.
Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, you’ll work as a strategic advisor, embedding HSE practices through influence, coaching, and practical safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety Leadership: Champion HSE initiatives across sites, ensuring compliance with safety laws and operational standards.
* Risk & Incident Management: Conduct regular site visits, audits, and risk assessments, facilitating prompt, effective responses to safety incidents.
* Coaching & Mentoring: Support managers and teams by providing guidance on HSE processes, promoting a collaborative and safety-first mindset.
* HSE System Maintenance: Oversee the HSE Management System to align with company goals and legislative requirements.
* Training & Development: Identify and address safety training needs, facilitating toolbox talks, WHS coordinator training, and strategic workshops.
* Return-to-Work Support: Assist in RTW planning and coordination, providing compassionate and effective support for workplace injury cases.
* Performance Reporting: Track HSE metrics and deliver regular reports to leadership on regional performance and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar safety role, ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or high-risk industries.
* Certification: Diploma in WHS preferred and SIRA Return-to-Work qualifications. Dangerous Goods and Lead Auditor qualifications.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with a variety of HSE systems. ICAM.
* Attributes: Strong relationship-building skills, coaching expertise, and a proactive, safety-minded approach.
* Licence: Current C Class drivers’ licence
Working Conditions:
* Hybrid Model: Office, site and work-from-home flexibility.
* Travel: Regional travel across the Newcastle area to support the dealership network.
* Reports To: Regional HSE Manager
