The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Grounds/Handyman Utility who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being part of a local community to join our Broome Resources Team.
Reporting to the onsite Village Manager, the primary objective of these roles is to ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of the site by maintaining the facilities, equipment, and grounds, and by providing essential support services.
This role is Bus-In-Bus-Out of Broome or Derby for locals only. Our Bus will pick you up from Broome or Derby and drop you back at the end of your 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster.
HIGA Award Level 3 Salary of $92K + Super.
14 days on, 14 days off roster.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting minor repairs on buildings and structures, such as fixing leaks, broken windows, or doors.
Ensuring that common areas, restrooms, and workspaces are clean and sanitary.
Maintaining and repairing hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Performing routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaks or blockages.
Assisting with basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs or fuses.
Assisting with the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Conducting regular safety inspections of the site and reporting hazards.
Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Providing support to other departments as needed, such as helping with logistics or transportation.
Managing supplies and materials inventory, ensuring necessary items are in stock.

What we are looking for:
Certifications in areas like plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or other relevant trades.
Proven experience in maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping roles, preferably in industrial or mining environments.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and efficiently.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
Self-motivated and capable of working without constant supervision.
Police Clearance or willing to obtain one and medically fit to pass pre-employment medical.
Australian Driver’s License (Required).
Forklift licence (preferred)
