WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Full Time, Permanent) to join our Upper Nepean team at Kenny Hill working across the Upper Nepean and Metropolitan Dams operational area.This is an opportunity to work with an essential organisation creating a more sustainable future for the state.This role offers the flexibility to work around life; your contribution will be valued, and you’ll be supported to build a rewarding career.At WaterNSW, we believe that our employees should be as well taken care of as our rivers, dams, and pipelines, that’s why we offer a load of benefits:Work a 9-day fortnight at Full pay on the Enterprise agreementUp to 16 weeks paid parental leaveFertility leaveYearly corporate wear allowanceProfessional development and educational assistanceRemote Area Benefits based on work locationSalary Range $95,764.00 BASE + SuperAnd so much more!What You’ll DoSupervise field teams and carry out maintenance tasks and minor works projects on water supply assets in a timely and cost-efficient way.Ability to work independently in remote locations when required.Ensure delivery of assigned maintenance and service activities for water infrastructure assets and river systems.Undertake site supervision, surveillance, and monitoring of WaterNSW assets to ensure system availability, reliability, and quality for customers and flood mitigation.Identify, develop the scope of works, and deliver minor operational maintenance and minor works tasks to assist in the delivery of the preventative and corrective maintenance program.Undertake site supervision sometimes across multiple sites including work inspections, contractor and visitor supervision, and review and implementation of work procedures (SWMS, SOPs) to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and environmental requirements are met.Operate valves, intake structures, gates, and piped/pumped systems to deliver the right quantity and quality of water to customers and assist with mitigation of floods.What We Are Looking ForAbility to implement safety and emergency plans and procedures.Experience in the implementation of WHS systems including site inductions, preparation of SWMS, and risk assessments.Expertise in the operation and maintenance of water infrastructure in accordance with approved procedures, standards, and protocols and ability to identify and rectify process deviations.Ability to lead field teams, develop teamwork, ensure training and accreditation is provided for staff, and continuously improve operational performance.Current NSW driver’s licence and Boat license where water operations are required.Preferred: Certificate 3 or higher in Water Operations, knowledge in the use of computerised asset maintenance and SCADA systems, Mechanical/Electrical trade qualified or extensive operational/maintenance experience.How We Will Support YouAt WaterNSW, we balance flexibility – and the way we work – with the needs of the business, our teams, and us as individuals.When it comes to working in an office, we work in a hybrid way.
