Our client operates a chemical gas processing plant to produce emulsions that provides a product to the mining and agricultural sectors. We are looking for an experienced senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join the team at the plant. This role is a senior role operating within a small team to assist manage the electrical, instrumentation and control systems assets reliability.
Key areas of the position include Safety, Environment, Business Management and Manufacturing Performance. Duties will include; · Ensure production targets are adhered to by addressing any plant performance issues including the areas of rate, uptime, quality, safety and environment · Ensure electrical, instrumentation and control systems equipment availability is maximised · Identify and major electrical, instrumentational and control systems plant vulnerabilities and put in place mitigation plans · Ensuring planned and preventative maintenance strategies are developed and maintained · Ensure Plant shutdowns are completed on time and budget · Implement business improvement strategies · Manage capital expenditure in related area · Provide leadership where required · Play a lead role in HSE This position will suit someone with a solid Electrical Engineering background with around 10 years’ experience in the petrochemical industry, or 5 years in a directly aligned industry.
