This position works as part of the broader nursing and midwifery education service for Hospitals South. This team works in collaboration with operational service areas, nurses, and midwives across Hospitals South in achieving the strategic priorities for the organisation and Nursing and Midwifery professions.
The Role:
Works as part of the nursing and midwifery education service with the operational portfolio in cancer services. The position requires high level knowledge and skills of education, as well as the abilities to analyse nursing practice in being able to plan, deliver, and evaluate activities of learning and development.
You will need:
* Demonstrated high level knowledge, skills and clinical expertise and the ability to lead nursing practice through the principles of Practice Development.
* Ability to apply facilitation skills, learning and evaluation strategies in the clinical context, to further the development of a person-centred culture including the implementation and evaluation of professional development, education and training activities.
* Sound knowledge of contemporary education, health and professional development issues and their impact on the knowledge and skill requirements of the nursing workforce.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately seven (7) months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

* Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning.
* Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications around clinical/practice specialty as relevant to the position.
