The Role
Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), Cyber Operations Division (COD) is seeking a highly motivated professional with recent experience in providing strong proactive management in an ICT or Customer Service environment within a complex organisation. This position undertakes complex to very complex commercial engagements and develops contractual agreements within an integrated workforce.
The Cyber & Service Assurance Team operate in a fast paced, high exposure environment where demands on attention to detail and agility are of exceptional quality. Applicants will need to demonstrate exemplary communication skills with a high level of resilience and attention to detail.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, managing workflows, developing strategies, and evaluating business outcomes. This will include assisting the Deputy Director of AV Cyber and Service Assurance in development, implementation, compliance with and review of policies and procedures.
This position has a high reliance on the ability to communicate in a professional, precise and competent manner whilst problem solving and delivering operational outcomes to high profile stakeholders.

The Directorate of Audio Visual Operations (DAVO) acts as the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) representative for the delivery of audio visual and video teleconferencing services across the Defence footprint.

The Cyber & Service Assurance Manager will be an exceptional communicator with proven problem solving skills delivering outcomes to high profile clientele. They will engage with stakeholders at a high-level, and will be required to identify relevant stakeholder expectations, delivering the appropriate services to achieve operational outcomes. They are accountable under broad direction of the Deputy Director Cyber & Service Assurance Manager to perform, achieve complex to very complex commercial engagements and develop contractual agreements within an integrated workforce.
They will work independently having some authority and discretion to investigate information from diverse sources and explore innovative approaches to support the longer-term business objectives and stakeholder needs. They will be capable, confident in problem solving, delivering solutions, presenting business cases, and developing and maintaining suitable work practices and procedures that remain in accordance with Defence's mission and business objectives.
The Team are fast-paced and outcome driven. The Cyber & Service Assurance Manager will need to rapidly implement and drive solutions, prioritising workloads determined by key stakeholders. They will require an in-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. They will also provide Cyber & Service Assurance functions for AV and Video Teleconferencing to ensure compliance with security, technical, and commercial arrangements in order to protect the Defence ICT environment.
The Cyber & Service Assurance Manager will use their initiative and experience to analyse, plan, review and adjust work activities to deliver business outcomes. They will undertake objective, systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence. They will exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert policy advice. They will obtain in-depth knowledge of the current contracts in relation to Audio Visual, and will manage the development, implementation, compliance and review of policies and procedures relevant to new and existing Audio Visual contracts. The Cyber & Service Assurance Manager will engage in complex problem solving and issues management and may coordinate and perform detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence.
You will be required to identify, establish and nurture key stakeholder relationships, identify and manage their expectations. They will also manage commercial agreements and undertakings, representing the Directorate in relevant commercial and governance forums.
