We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join us at Sydney Metro Laboratory in Granville, NSW. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic. This role is not your regular lab-based position, you'll be trading your lab whites for High-Vis, steel-cap boots and PPE The successful applicant will have impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be risk aware and safety driven. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the requirement of some weekend work also entailing RDO’s and overtime. For the recruiting of this position, we are inviting shortlisted candidates to a recruitment assessment day on Tuesday 25 April 2025 in Granville. Rates - $30.84 - $35.00 p.h. O/T rates super In your new role with us, you will: Perform laboratory testing within the laboratory for concrete being supplied throughout Sydney and the greater region Carry out equipment calibrations Learn and perform various test methods as per Australia Standards Ensure NATA requirements are maintained Assist the broader technical team This role is a great fit for you if you: Have a great attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn Excellent Health and Safety behaviours Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) Are physically fit Are tenacious and take ownership and manage your responsibilities Are customer focused, attentive to detail and motivated to achieve goals Have qualifications in Testing Operations and/or Laboratory Techniques - preferred, but not essential The Recruitment Process: Submit your application online.
