Job Summary:
Collarcare® are partnered with health services across Australia and we are currently seeking Registered Nurses for hospital contracts in NSW. As a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients in a rehabilitation setting. You will work closely with patients to support their recovery, manage their treatment plans, and provide education on health and wellness. This role requires effective communication, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
About the role:
* Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patients' responses.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation goals and home care.
* Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
* Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed to meet patients' evolving needs.
* Document patient care, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately.
* Assist with the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs.
* Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients during their recovery process.
Key Requirements:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Triage experience and / certification
* Current National Police Check
* NDIS Clearance / Willingness to Obtain
* ALS and BLS Certification
* 1 year of experience working in an Australian Health Setting
* Previous experience in rehabilitation nursing or a similar clinical setting is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
