The Role Due to growth, there is now an exciting opportunity for a talented lawyer to join the Legal and Contracts team.
This role will see you reporting directly to the Legal and Contracts Manager yet provides the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders including the Managing Director, COO and broader Executive and Management team, in addition to project directors and consultants within the organisation.
This is a fast-paced role with dynamic and varied work arising daily.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: preparing, interpreting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts advising on compliance with contractual terms and conditions in consultation with the Legal and Contracts Manager coordinating the internal legal review services maintaining legal registers and records assist with the implementation of new platforms to optimise legal functions providing support for company corporate governance and risk management functions.

Requirements To be successful, you will be an admitted lawyer with at least 3 years' PAE experience (with a preference for at least a part of this having been gained in an in-house team).
In addition, you will have: demonstrated experience in a similar role, with significant exposure as a contract and commercial specialist knowledge and understanding of the Australian legal, governance and contracts management landscape to support business governance and compliance processes (noting that our client operates nationally and it is expected that you will be able to be across and able to advise under multiple Australian legal systems) experience in dealing with diverse government and industry stakeholders an ability to understand the bigger picture and to prioritise multiple tasks arising across multiple business lines.
