We are currently hiring casual Disability Support Workers to support a client in Orange, NSW. About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, your role will involve supporting clients with disabilities, focusing on skill development and enriching their lives through engaging, creative activities. This position may also include providing in-home support for clients. You’ll be a vital part of our team, using your passion and expertise to help clients grow, develop, heal, and feel empowered. About You: Willingness to travel to Orange, NSW. Availability to work full-time, 24 hours per week on weekdays (with the potential for additional hours). Availability to work casual shifts weekly (as required by the client). Confidence in engaging with clients, building positive relationships, and meeting their unique needs. Resilience and self-assurance when working with clients from diverse backgrounds. Skilled in prioritising tasks and demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook. Experience working with high-needs disability clients, with a history of supporting participants across ages (from youth to elderly). A genuine desire to support people with additional needs through a person-centred approach. Experience working with at least two participants in a single shift. Essential Requirements: NDIS Worker Screening Check Employee Working with Children Check Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates Valid Australian driver’s license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car) At least a Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability What Connecting Families Offers You: Ongoing professional development opportunities.
