The Role
Our client, a leading corporate law firm in Australia with over 700 partners and staff nationally, is seeking an enthusiastic full-time legal secretary to join their Sydney office within the Disputes team.
As a key member of the team, you will be proactive, capable, and motivated to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Liaising with clients and staff to ensure seamless communication and task management.
* Preparing and drafting legal documents, including correspondence via emails, letters, and internal memos.
* Collating court documents and preparing briefs.
* Managing billing and financial aspects of the role.
* Organizing diaries and inboxes for efficient task allocation.
* Opening and closing electronic files, and maintaining accurate file management systems.
* Providing general administration support to the team.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years of experience providing legal support.
You will also demonstrate exceptional time management and organisational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, confident verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational and file management skills, and professionalism, personability, and adaptability.
Additionally, you should have experience using document management and billing systems such as FileSite, Aderant Expert, or similar platforms.
