Our client is a leading financial services provider, looking for a Client Services Associate to join their team.
This is a great client services role where you will primarily interact with internal clients, and perform routine operational tasks in the lifecycle of transactions including billing, payments, data entry, reporting and responding to client queries, and ensuring internal and external obligations are discharged.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining client and service provider relationships
* Provide dedicated support to Relationship Manager(s) in an effort to build and maintain relationships with the business institutional prospects, investment consultants, and existing clients
* Assist the Relationship Manager and Client Service Manager in servicing the book of custody and trustee clients and be the primary point of contact for operational and administrative matters
* Resolve on a timely basis all client problems/queries to ensure best-in-class customer service. For high demand clients, know the client’s drivers that may be impacting service deliverables
* Understand transaction documents so clients can be serviced, and obligations are complied with
* Ensuring clients are meeting their obligations under the transaction documents
* Ensure permanent client files are maintained electronically (where possible) and relevant material is recorded in the operating system
* Ensure operating system is updated to reflect all relevant client dealings and obligations and incidents are captured in the compliance management system in a timely manner
* Attend industry relevant seminars and debrief colleagues on its substance
* Assist in the preparation for client and service provider meetings, including coordination of calendars and update CRM with key notes from meetings
* Assist in managing finance matters, including billing and following up overdue invoices
* On-board client as per internal procedures
* Dedicated responsibility for specific reporting and fixed client service tasks each month
* Ensure day-to-day administration processes and a working knowledge of all clients “owned” by the team to provide back-up when required and ensure core deliverables within the Client Service team are met
* Maintain high levels of quality and compliance, understanding policies, procedures and administration of your clients
* Review, negotiate and approve documentation in relation to assets and asset related requests
Experience:
* 2 years’ experience in similar roles in the finance industry (trustee industry preferred)
* Understanding of Trusts and Managed Funds
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently
* Ability to understand and negotiate (where applicable) legal, contractual documents
* Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines
* Excellent Customer service and outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of the role of a trustee/custodian and the finance industry
