You will play a lead role in creating and managing strategies for Fortescue's conveyor belt, idlers, scrapers, pulleys and maintenance requirements. This will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimise commercial arrangements and deliver value in the operation, maintenance and reliability of these assets.To be successful in the role, you are enthusiastic about business improvement, have knowledge of the assets as well as demonstrated commercial and procurement experience. You will be proficient with data analytics and possess the ability to engage with and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate strategies to optimise the performance of conveyor systems.Manage agreements to enhance commercial benefit and balance commercial risk.Work closely with key internal stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.Foster collaborative supplier relationships.Manage existing agreements, award or change recommendations.Provide contract life-cycle support for all contractual and commercial activities.Ensure business objectives are met through effective governance, compliance management and the identification, assessment, and treatment of risk.Qualifications and ExperienceStrong influencing, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Proven analytical skills.Commercial and resource sector experience in procurement and contract management will be well regarded.Previous exposure to and experience with fixed plant assets in a mining environment.Effective written and communication skills to draft contracts, recommendations, advice and approval documents.Ability to effectively operate within the governance and compliance frameworks of a large organisation.Demonstrable self-management and performance capabilities with a high level of resilience to challenging circumstances.Ability to manage multiple work packages and interface with internal customers.Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or engineering related fields.About UsBe part of something big.
