Job Title: Manager – Infrastructure Contracts Employer: DFP Recruitment Client Position Type: 6 month Full Time Casual Temporary Contract Pay Rate: Level 7 + Super Location: Fremantle, WA 6000 Role Overview: As a Manager for Infrastructure Contracts, you will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage planning, and oversee bespoke arrangements like EPCM.You'll handle contract lifecycle management, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure compliance, and maintain supplier relationships, all while aligning with project objectives and contributing to strategic plans. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure best practice and compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines within the Infrastructure project delivery function. Manage procurement planning including procurement strategies, contract formation and contract management activities. Manage the procurement process for bespoke arrangements such as EPCM, providing support to the Engineering function at every stage, including scoping of requirements, tender preparation, evaluation of bids, and contract negotiation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine project requirements and ensure that procurement activities align with project objectives. Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting and negotiating contracts, monitoring contract performance, and identifying and resolving any issues that may arise. Provide guidance and support to Infrastructure on procurement matters, including contract management, supplier performance, and dispute resolution. Monitor and report on Infrastructure procurement activities, including compliance with policies and procedures and key performance indicators. Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers, consultants and contractors, ensuring that they continue to provide services which align with the clients standards for quality, cost, and performance. Monitor developments in procurement and contract management best practice and legislation, and recommend changes to project procedures as required. Contribute to the Strategic Asset Management Plan and Capital Works Program by aligning priorities and processes with the client's strategy, objectives and operational requirements. Provide strategic level advice on the contract management and procurement of projects in own portfolio. Prepare or contribute to the preparation of board papers and/or business cases. Foster an open, cooperative and communicative working environment, engaging and consulting with all relevant internal and external stakeholders for collaborative and coordinated outcomes. Undertake other duties as directed. Essential to be successful in this role: Experience in negotiating, setting up and delivering complex procurement and contracting arrangements for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and sound judgement. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale procurement projects. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing procurement in Western Australia. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field of engineering, project or construction management. Current valid NPC or ability to obtain one.
