Global Logistics provides sophisticated supply chain solutions, from end-to-end or part solutions, warehousing and distribution to dedicated transport solutions, across the globe and to some of the most remote corners of the world.
Our customers produce goods from various parts of the healthcare ecosystem. From consumer healthcare products like vitamins to medical devices like contact lenses and robotic surgical instruments, Toll has the expertise and certifications to move and store various types of pharmaceutical and healthcare products. In specialised purpose-built facilities, our team can also manage unit dose packaging and vaccine storage and handling in cold rooms.
The Role
The National Business Development Manager is accountable for the development of the strategic direction and execution of the growth plans of the healthcare business in the ANZ region. You will be a high impact, results oriented, senior manager with a deep understanding of market dynamics, a robust network of industry contacts, and a proven track record of driving business growth (both organic and inorganic) and consistently exceeding ambitious revenue and E.B.I.T targets. you will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring the long-term sustainability and profitability of the business unit. You will also be accountable for increasing the share of wallet of existing customers across market segments in line with business unit, vertical and enterprise growth mandates.
Location can be Melbourne or Sydney
As a National Business Development Manager – Healthcare you will:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement business development strategies, conduct market research, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive business expansion.
- Business Development & Deployment: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead tenders and market submissions, and manage end-to-end negotiations for new deals and contracts.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners, and work with internal teams to grow existing accounts.
- Team Leadership & Development: Coach and mentor the account management team, set performance expectations, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and work with finance teams for accurate forecasting and planning.
- Marketing, Branding & Innovation: Collaborate on marketing campaigns, enhance brand visibility, represent the business at industry events, and continuously improve business development processes.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, logistics or a related field. An advanced degree is favourable.
- Extensive experience in business development across global organisations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Background in supply chain consultancy, transport, warehousing and logistics preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of warehousing and distribution practices, including the operations of a global 3PL Healthcare company.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various Toll Healthcare facilities across the country.
