You will have strong skills in driving the technology platforms strategy, enterprise architecture, platforms lifecycle management and support, and data governance coupled with a strong customer focus.About The RoleThis is a leadership role driving technology platforms strategy and roadmap, delivering technology initiatives for the council and providing leadership to the 3 streams i.e. Core Systems, Business Systems and Spatial Services.Key responsibilities include:Manage all technology platforms functions i.e. Core Systems, Business Systems and Spatial services ensuring optimal performance, security and compliance, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies, and technology landscape lifecycle management to ensure an agile, cost-effective, and scalable technology environment.Lead critical technology projects using council’s ePMO framework ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with business objectives while maintaining high quality.Lead the design and build of an Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice aligned to the technology strategy ensuring strong technology governance and management practices/processes are followed, driving smart and cost-effective solutions are considered in line with community expectations.Qualifications And ExperienceUnderstanding and experience of best practice ICT standards such as ITIL, CoBIT, etc. Formal certifications highly regarded.Demonstrated leader/manager experience in an Applications environment leading a team of technical specialists.Experience of managing, directing and motivating staff to deliver projects with stretching scope and objectives.Demonstrated experience in producing quality reports and operational documentation.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to effectively manage multiple projects and actions concurrently.Key Selection CriteriaQualifications and experience listed aboveDemonstrated experience as listed in the Specialist Skills and Knowledge section.Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote the corporate values.Ability to lead and manage a team.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including a proven ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation.Strong troubleshooting skills, with an ability to learn.Experience working in an Applications Manager role or equivalent supporting several enterprise technology platforms and systems.How To ApplyTo apply for this position please click the Apply button and submit your application.
