A successful candidate will be adept at analyzing data and developing insights. As the Global Procurement Operations Analyst will work on several different initiatives simultaneously, this individual will need to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. The preferred candidate should have strong analytical, communication, and personal organizational skills to support the Global Procurement group.
The position will be a centralized resource responsible for supporting general Procurement operations, with emphasis on analytics, reporting/metrics, Procurement team enablement, and Ariba Support of the Sourcing and Contracts modules. The main purpose of the Procurement Operations Analyst is to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Procurement-related tools, metrics, policies, training, and knowledge management. The Analyst would work in SAP, PowerBI and Ariba Spend Analytics module to develop reporting for both Indirect and Direct Procurement.
The Analyst will need to work closely with other Procurement team members to help enhance the effectiveness and capabilities of the Global Procurement department. This role will be accountable for Procurement performance tracking and provide data analysis that will form the basis for decision-making. The position will frequently interface with individuals from multiple functions, with particularly strong ties to Finance. Strong relationship skills and the ability to communicate with all levels will help this person to be successful in the role.
ResponsibilitiesAriba Sourcing & ContractingManage the Ariba Sourcing and Contracts modulesEnsure contract documents are executed in a timely mannerEnter and manage RFx events within the Ariba toolTrain members of Waters on the module and field questions as they ariseSpend Visibility & AnalyticsMaster use of Spend Visibility tools such as PowerBI and Spend Analytics Module from SAP as well as SAP.Produce and streamline monthly metrics package for VP of Global Procurement such as lead time analytics, supplier scorecard and payment terms insights.Produce various ad hoc request for Global Procurement management team such as a monthly report of projected spend based on committed volumes.Run reports for Direct Procurement such as PPV (purchase price variance) vs. SCR (sourcing cost reduction).Use reporting and analysis to identify potential sourcing opportunities.Performance MeasurementEnsure timely and accurate completion of pipeline tracker by Commodity ManagersTrack performance of the Procurement team against established metricsMaintain and continuously enhance central dashboard used to track Procurement value, including progress relative to targetsCollaborate with Finance to verify budgetary impact of value attainment efforts and facilitate related tracking and reportingAssist in RFx Processes for Global ProcurementCollaborate with Procurement team members to streamline and assist in various RFx events.Provide updates (via trackers, emails, etc.) to key stakeholders through RFx events.Create documentation, pricing comparison, and other files as needed for internal stakeholder and/or site review.Knowledge ManagementSupport Procurement tools and templates and intellectual capital, with an interest in advancing the team's resources and knowledge baseDocument and communicate information/data needs and standardsProvide analysis and input as required to support the Procurement team's strategic sourcing events, supplier negotiations, supply market research, and other strategic sourcing activitiesExecute other procurement-related special projects as neededPartner with cross functional teams including but not limited to Operations, Legal and FinanceEffectively communicate issues, actions and strategies to leadership
