Population of 37,000 people. We are a young dynamic team looking to grow while still offering support and a small family clinic feel.Mixed animal clinic so will have exposure to a wide range of animals and cases.Multi-week coffee runs delivered to our door.We have all the toys to help with our varied case load! Including Digital X-ray, portable equine X-ray, im3 dental X-ray, equine gastroscope, electro cautery surgical equipment, ECG, SmartFlow, BM7 patient monitoring, portable horse crush, and more!I have worked at this clinic since graduating from university at the end of 2019, I am now in my 3rd year out from uni. Since starting here, my skillset has dramatically improved as we have a varied and exciting case load. As our closest referral hospital is over 5 hours away, we have the opportunity to do complex work-ups and surgeries and advanced emergency medicine. There is a good mixture of large and small animal work, as we see goats, sheep, alpacas, horses, cows, pocket pets, dogs, and cats. Being able to work in a rural setting has been rewarding, and you do feel like a vital part of the community.I have been challenged to improve as a vet, however, have always had support and someone to call, no matter the time or day. The team is young, fun, and progressive. The nurses are supportive and have excellent skills to assist us vets. The management of the clinic is supportive and constantly finding ways to improve working conditions and equipment for our team. The salary is more than competitive, especially being a rural clinic. I would recommend this clinic as a great workplace for someone who is interested in working in a mixed rural setting with up-to-date protocols, salaries, and equipment.Feedback from Murdoch 2019, former recent employee:The practice offers a great working environment. The employers are understanding and flexible and value work-life balance. The staff all get on really well and help each other when needed. We are encouraged to take our study leave each year. I have lived in the area for the past four years, and the location of the practice is great. It is very relaxed, and you can go to the beach often. I would recommend the practice to other vets.Feedback from a Murdoch 2020, former recent employee:If this sounds like you or we sound like a place you would like to work, please send your CV and cover letter to bataviavet@outlook.com Att Tara.
