Overview
rhi is currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Advisor for our client based in Geelong.
This is initially a full-time 4-month contract – extension may be available. Our client is open to the successful candidate working 1-day per week based in the office or possible remote work. Immediate starters required.
The payroll advisor is responsible for effective, efficient, and quality payroll services and implements continuous process improvement changes designed to enhance the operation of the payroll processing function and supports team members to ensure allocated work is satisfactorily executed.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a range of day-to-day payroll processing transactions, including leave applications and appropriate payroll reconciliations.
* Ensure the HR / Payroll system is maintained and up to date, i.e. employee data, staffing changes, payroll updates.
* Assist with the management and administration of superannuation funds.
* Provide accurate and timely advice and support on payroll queries and issues.
* Maintain the integrity of the payroll system and associated processes through accurate and complete administrative and payroll processes, data entry, record keeping, and document management.
Qualifications
About you:
Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in human resource management or certificated payroll qualification (or progress towards an appropriate qualification).
Essential:
* Substantial experience in a related role or extensive experience in a similar role.
* Ability to guide and support a small team of people.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both within the payroll team and across the Organisation.
* Ability to problem-solve to identify process improvement initiatives.
* Extensive experience in the provision of both payroll and helpdesk services.
* Organisational skills of a very high order are required for this role.
