Biodiversity Australia is an Environmental Consultancy which brings exciting opportunities for Vegetation team members for a project based within the Western Downs region.
About the opportunity
We are currently looking for Vegetation Team Members with multiple positions available for immediate start. Training to support required certifications to become job-ready may be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Weed control
* Herbicide application
* Weed identification
* Daily reporting
* Site assessment in rail corridors
You will be responsible for ensuring safe working practices are adhered to and quality work standards are achieved. Positions may be Full Time or Casual and include rosters with an average of 10 hours/day, Monday to Friday. This is a long-term project offering a secure and stable position for the right candidate, so we are looking to build a committed team.

About you:
To be successful, the following experience/skills are desirable:
* Experience working on Rail projects
* Experience/interest in identification of species both native and weeds
* Experience & knowledge in use and handling of a variety of agricultural chemicals
* Experience with equipment operations & maintenance such as zero turn mowers, chainsaws, brush-cutters, etc.
Requirements:
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Highly desirable, or willing to obtain:
* RIW card
* CAT 3 Medical
* QR - Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC)
* Protection Officer accreditation will be very highly regarded
* Tractor and slasher tickets or experience such as Conduct Tractor Operations Course (RIIMP0315D) or similar
* HR or MR truck licence
* 4WD experience and towing experience
* ACDC Licence

* Have their own reliable vehicle
