SC1 Demonstrated experience in mentoring young people, ideally within a sporting or school setting.SC2 Ability to plan, coordinate and deliver a sporting program, including managing participants, staffing, transport, venues, equipment and communications.SC3 Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.SC4 Demonstrated experience in utilising technology to manage workflows.SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with BSSC and Department values.RoleThe Sports Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and promoting college participation in sport competitions at local division, region, state and national level.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with team coaches to organise selection/training program.Book transport, venues and equipment.Coordinate excursion arrangements in accordance with college and DE policy, including roll marking.Distribute coaches' instructions, student notices, permission slips, payment instructions, team uniforms, sports equipment and team rosters for upcoming sports days.Update and maintain displays of relevant sports notices, team draws, reminders both electronically and on noticeboards.Support Athlete Development Program (ADP) activities where possible.Support publicity and recognition for college sports participants via the college website, social media platforms, college magazine, college awards ceremony and the media.Maintain sporting archives.Nominate students for relevant sporting awards.Liaise with and develop partnerships with community sports clubs/organisations.Represent the college on the Sandhurst Division Sports committee.Establish and maintain community links with regional and state sporting associations.Assist with the organisation of whole college events.Administer the Sports Scholarship Fund.Maintenance of equipment and uniforms.Attend meetings (internal and external to the college) as required.Support staff in selection process of teams, delivery of training and athlete management.Ensure staff attending sporting events have relevant qualifications and expertise (including Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR and a Light Rigid Vehicle Licence).Oversee and support the BSSC Student Sports Leadership Team.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
