About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a casual role, ideally 1-2 days per week.
This position is best suited for individuals studying speech pathology or relevant allied health professions who are looking to apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver sessions to clients as outlined by the speech pathologist
* Prepare resources and materials as specified by the speech pathologist
* Attend regular supervision sessions
* Write clinic notes for therapy sessions delivered
* Communicate progress and obstacles with goals to the speech pathologist
* Provide administration assistance, including creating resources
* Complete sessions with clients at our office, in their homes, and in the community
Requirements:
* Studying Speech Pathology or relevant allied health profession or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
* Working with Children Check (or obtain prior to start date)
* National Police Check (or obtain prior to start date)
* First Aid Certificate (or obtain prior to start date)
* Ability to consistently follow a structured therapy plan devised by a qualified allied health professional
* Driver's License and ability to use own car for mobile appointments (travel will be reimbursed)
