About the Role
Due to internal movement, CareSouth is looking for a Caseworker to join the Wagga Wagga Permanency Support Team, in a full-time, ongoing position.

As a Caseworker you will be a part of a team which works dynamically across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanency support, restoration and adoption.
A day in the life of a Caseworker
As a Caseworker you will be a part of a team which works dynamically across the child protection spectrum. A typical day could include:
* Visiting children, young people and carers in their homes
* Working holistically with carers, families and service providers to help children and young people reach their goals
* Supportive collaboration with a diverse team to share knowledge and insight to help achieve best outcomes for children and young people
* Documenting children and young people’s goals, journey and milestones
* Helping children and young people achieve permanency so they have a home for life.
About You
To be a successful in a Caseworker role at Caresouth you need to be resilient, dedicated and passionate about making a difference in a young person's life. The Wagga Wagga team is a collaborative and supportive team so we are looking for someone that is a strong team player, has a great sense of humour and is willing to go the extra mile for the young people you support.
As the successful applicant, you will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
1. A commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
2. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Social Sciences / Social Welfare or equivalent or working towards relevant qualification
3. Understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families.
4. Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
5. Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team.
6. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
7. High level verbal and written communication skills.
8. Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and the NSW Child Protection system.
9. Current driver’s licence.
10. Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number and/or (ACT) Working with Vulnerable People Card.
