Job Title: Systems Engineer
AWS Utility Computing (UC) is a leading provider of innovative products and services, including Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate customer issues, consult with senior engineers, and implement Operational Excellence best practices.
* Utilize Linux skills to troubleshoot, innovate fixes, and workarounds, and provide data and metrics to manage capacity and efficiency.
* Draw on networking knowledge to identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, communicate clearly, and collaborate with others to deliver results.
Requirements:
* Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
* Experience supporting cloud systems or other services, proficient troubleshooting, and anticipating problems.
* Proficient executing standard operating procedures and following operational best practices.
* Knowledge of scripting processes in a language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby, or coding software applications in a modern language such as Java, TypeScript, or similar.
* Experience working cross-organizationally and leading strategic team efforts requiring work from multiple team members.
* Experience performance tuning software applications and optimizing fleet utilization.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as CDK, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or similar.
