Surveying (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeFocus Minerals (FML) is a leading Australian gold explorer with tenure in Coolgardie and Laverton, two exciting gold regions in WA, and is the largest landholder in the Coolgardie goldfields with over 450sq km of tenements. Resumption of operations commenced in 2023 and FML has now commenced the planning and execution phase of bringing its Bonnie Vale underground operation online, located 10km north of its 1.2 Mtpa Three Mile Hill processing plant.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Surveyor: Underground, the Surveyor: Underground is responsible for all underground survey control set outs, mark-ups, pickups and preparation of survey plans required under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.The role will be based in Coolgardie on a FIFO, DIDO or Residential 8 days on, 6 days off roster.Key Responsibilities:Ensure that all survey plans are developed based on current information/data and that they meet the requirements of the WHS legislation.Certifying that surveys and plans are accurate and correct.Ensure that all survey data is stored and maintained as per legislative requirements.Complete survey mark-ups, set-outs, controls and mining instructions timely.Implement and maintain an up-to-date void monitoring system or model. This includes blast holes, exploration drillholes, services holes and any holes such holes that may interact with mining activities.Daily and monthly measurement of underground excavations including overbreak and underbreak analysis.End of month measurement and reporting of volumes, advances, stockpiles and mined excavations.Ensure that all survey information is conveyed to the key stakeholders in a concise, readable format.About YouTo be successful in this role you will possess sound analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and work ethic, as well as the following qualifications and experience:Degree or Diploma in Mine SurveyingA minimum of 2 years of mine surveying experience in underground mining.Competency in the use of mine planning software preferably Deswik and Surpac.Practical experience in the UG Mine Surveying applications.Why Join Us?Focus Minerals is an ASX listed company in an exciting period of expansion and production.
