Full timeSalary: $115,479 per year plus 15% superannuationAbout the opportunityWe are seeking applications for a Technical Officer to join Icon Water’s Network Maintenance Planning Office. This role has primary responsibility for performing desktop and site based technical works, planning and scheduling services within Networks Maintenance to ensure the fulfilment of Icon Water's Annual Maintenance Plan.About your new roleKey responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Perform planning responsibilities for Water and Waste Water Network Maintenance, including but not limited to Sewer Main repairs, Water Main repairs and Large Meters replacement programs.Be responsible for all Network planning (including desktop and site based), create work orders, facilitate workflows and successfully handover activities to Network Maintenance Delivery for execution, in accordance with Icon Waters annual maintenance plan.Manage the planning responsibilities, interpret technical drawings and maps, arrange site access and service clearances, identify and order materials, liaise with customers and schedule work to ensure the safe and efficient execution of work activities.Control the screening process by gaining insights from others, prioritise works and optimise workforce planning, logistics and scheduling while managing customer impacts.Manage the daily scheduling and resourcing of jobs to enable work crews to meet their daily works requirements. This includes having full accountability, independence and autonomy for completion of all aspect of the work scheduling position.Develop a multi skilled planning and scheduling capability within the group.Lead and direct change initiatives, implement continuous improvement as required to improve business performance.Our ideal candidate will possess:Relevant Technical qualifications in Engineering and/or extensive experience in Engineering or Sewer and Water related field or equivalent.Extensive experience and knowledge in the maintenance of sewerage and water systems.Experience with and/or knowledge of interpreting technical documentation relating to water and sewerage systems.Subject matter expertise of operational and maintenance knowledge in water supply and sewerage network assets.Ability to take the lead and be responsible for accurate field inspections and location markups to allow planned work to flow to supervisors.Ability to discuss best maintenance practices with stakeholders to minimise disruption to the public for planned network maintenance work.Ability to drive, influence stakeholders and diligently deliver challenging projects and/or business operations in accordance with baseline targets.Experience in Work and Resource scheduling in a Water and Sewer related maintenance environment.Does this sound like you?If this role takes your interest, please log on to our recruitment portal and:Submit your resume & cover letter clearly addressing how you meet the requirements of the role.To learn more about this exciting opportunity you can contact: Michael Didimiotis on 0401 961 571Closing Date: Sunday, 17 November 2024 10pm
