The Team:The THS Community Health Social Work (CHSW) North team delivers evidence based social work services to regional and community-based clients, who are affected by psychosocial health issues. We are based at Community Health Centres and District Hospitals across Northern Tasmania, with a focus on assisting individuals to build capacity and resilience to self-manage and self-regulate their own health issues, as well as support sustainable community driven groups, programs and partnerships.The Role:The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of evidence-based and trauma-informed Social Work services with community clients and groups at our Launceston based Community Health Centres.You will need:Extensive experience in:Psychosocial assessment and care planningTherapeutic counselling and interventionGroupwork and/or program development aligned with Primary Health principlesNote: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, 30 April 2025 until 30 April 2026.notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social WorkersEligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW.Full member of Australian Association of Social WorkersCurrent Driver’s Licence.Desirable criteria:Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a practising social worker in a relevant field.How to apply:Apply Online.
