Integrated Disability Action (IDA) is the Northern Territory's Peak organisation for Territorians living with disability. IDA actively advocates for positive change on identified issues, which may be specific to an individual or group, and/or systemic in nature.
IDA's mission is to advocate for or on behalf of people living with disability to produce equitable outcomes with respect to disability issues and ensure adequate access, inclusion and representation of people living with disability. About the role
Reporting to a Management Committee, this position is primarily responsible for providing leadership, and overseeing the effective delivery of all the organisations services.
The CEO will continually identify funding opportunities and pursue those opportunities that advance the organisation's Mission. Other key duties include, but are not limited to:
* Maintain Corporate Governance
* Advocate for Territorians living with disability and seek out partnerships to assist them
* Ensure funding and contractual arrangements are met
* Manage the overall corporate health of the organisation through regular staff engagement as well as professional development
* Training and performance management and regular staff orientation activities
* Engage regularly with all stakeholders including Government Agencies, industry groups, community groups, individuals, and others to promote the organisation's image and credibility within the community.
Leading a small team of Advocates, Trainers and Events Personnel, this is a hands-on Leadership role that will see you inspire and motivate an already dedicated team in achieving strategic goals, but most importantly you will be making a positive impact on the lives of Territorians.
About You
It is envisaged the new CEO will have extensive experience in a senior role within a Community Services or Not for Profit organisation. Ideally you will have formal qualifications in Community Services, Leadership, Finance, Social Services, or other such relevant disciplines as well as evidence of continual professional development. Other key experience you will bring to the role include:
* Working collaboratively with Governments, industry and community groups
* Representing the sector on State, Territory and National working parties
* Experience developing and implementing strategic plans within a service driven organisation
* Leading and working in multi-disciplinary teams and working groups
* Strong Financial Management
* Confident with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
It would be highly desirable if you had experience within the NDIS framework, and National Standards for Disability Services. Overall, the most important traits we are looking for are passion and leadership. It will also be a requirement that you have an Ochre Card (or can obtain), driver's license and be willing to undergo a Police check. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to step up from a Regional Manager, General Manager, or acting CEO role.

In addition to a salary package circa $125k - $140k inclusive of superannuation, there is also:
