The Role : In this position, you will be part of a Senior Payroll team who are responsible for the processing of the Payroll every week and completing end-of-month and end-of-financial-year processes. Duties include and are not limited to: General : Update and maintain the payroll system Assist with preparing forecasts, budgets and/or financial reports Ensure compliance with all relevant Legislation and Awards Assist in the calculation of leave provisions, accruals and processing of termination payments Maintain reporting for leave, illness, overtime etc Weekly : Assist in the process of weekly payroll for 1200 employees for the Group of companies Handle payroll queries in a timely manner. Answering/correcting any payroll discrepancies Assist in running EFT and ATO reports for banking. Annually : Print reports for End of Year Payroll Backup system for all Companies Assist in preparing reconciliations for the Finance Department Complete Single Touch Payroll (STP) process for ATO and employee’s MyGov account The Person: You may be a Finance Graduate keen to learn from the ground up whilst being supported by senior payroll professionals 1 to 2 years of payroll experience and eager to progress in your career Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a close-knit team environment Intermediate/Advanced computer skills; experience with Sage Micropay software would be an advantage (Training will be provided) We request that candidates have full working rights.
