Role: Retirement Village ManagerLocation: Warrnambool, VicPosition: Permanent Part time 2 days a week This is an exciting and flexible opportunity for a genuine 'people' person with strong attention to detail and excellent administration skills!Take your customer service or sales skills to the next level with this exciting opportunity to drive positive growth and enhance the client experience at Respect.About us: As a proud not-for-profit organisation since 1922, Respect Aged Care serves older residents through our high standard of care and community.Our focus is on giving back to older adults by fostering communities of belonging.Headquartered on the northwest coast of Tasmania, our philosophy is: Everyone deserves the right to a well-lived life, with dignity and respect.The role: As our Retirement Living Manager you will coordinate the sale and lease of units to ensure that all Waterfront Living retirement rentals are at full capacity.As a positive and motivated member of the retirement living team, you will deliver exceptional customer service and support to new and existing village residents.If you have experience in property management, sales or customer service and are excited about an opportunity to enhance the lives of people and communities in Warrnambool, then this is the role for you!Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and negotiate budget acceptance with resident committees.Perform face-to-face sales activity required to maintain optimum village occupancy.Ensure that all activities and operations within the scope of responsibility are performed in accordance with the village/sales budget/s.Manage the day-to-day operations of the village.Plan the use of community facilities and resources such as transport.Ensure that village operation complies with all regulatory and reporting requirements.Implement new village service and sales initiatives.Monitor waiting lists.Oversee management of all resident correspondence and complaints.Manage all maintenance, ground, gardens, cleaning, pest control, waste service requirements and associated contracts.Oversee village databases and record-keeping to ensure accurate and timely records are in place, available and secure.Ensure that appropriate communication systems are in place to respond to enquiries, sales enquiries, resident issues and complaints and correspondence.Ensure that the village has appropriate emergency response system, fire equipment, evacuation plans and emergency procedures.Ensure regular audits and the necessary training courses are conducted.Manage relationships between existing and new residents.Welcome and provide orientation for new residents.Ensure village activities including social, transport, healthy living and safety matters are organised. Essential: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are important to effectively interact with residents and stakeholders.Strong leadership and management skills are essential, including the ability to allocate resources and make sound decisions.Willingness to learn.Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire). Desirable: Relevant managerial experience in an aged care or retirement living sector.Relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline.Previous sales experience.Understanding of, and experience working under, the Retirement Villages Act.Knowledge of compliance requirements e.g.Retirement Villages Legislation.Experience in Property Management Sales (highly desirable).Current Driver's License.
