In this role, you will take ownership of the culinary operation leading by example in all areas of operational excellence.Manage the kitchen operations during busy functions & events varying from conferences, boardroom catering, sports events, cocktail functions & formal plated events.Operate and execute innovative menus incorporating Chartwells brand standards.Ensure administrative tasks are complete.Share knowledge & passion for nutrition and wellbeing.Ensure the safe production of a quality product without compromise in line with food safety guidelines including allergen management.Take responsibility for the control of costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimisation, and stock control.Maintain a customer focus at all times, establish and foster positive relationships with key client stakeholders and be the face of culinary operations.Be a passionate foodie with a strong background and interest in nutrition and allergy awareness.Be commercially astute with an eye for detail, quality, and presentation standards.Be self-motivated and an excellent communicator.Lead by inspiring others - demonstrate integrity, fairness, and compassion with your team.Show demonstrable attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise.Have an appreciation for food wastage & sustainability standards.Exhibit exceptional communication and impeccable personal presentation.The PersonA qualified Executive Chef with the experience necessary to run differing types of service from large scale functions and events to smaller onsite day-to-day catering.Solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.Full understanding of Hygiene & HACCP regulations and managing allergens is essential.Be a positive, supportive and ambitious leader experienced in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions, and appraisals.Exhibit exceptional organizational and time management skills.Have a strong focus on the quality of catering delivery.The BenefitsAs a Manager with Compass Group, you will have the support, infrastructure, systems, and processes that you would expect from a global organization.
