We are seeking a dynamic and independent Marketing and Publications Officer to join our client's Marketing, Media and Communications unit. Our client is a leading educational institution in Australia dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a vibrant learning community.
Your new role
This role is pivotal in coordinating the production and distribution of strategic publications, including higher education and TAFE course guides, to support our client's brand and domestic student recruitment objectives. The key responsibilities are to;
1. Manage the production of high-quality publications such as course guides, student guides, brochures, and electronic publications.
2. Develop and maintain publication processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and up-to-date content.
3. Brief and collaborate with freelancers, agencies, and other suppliers.
4. Ensure all publications adhere to written guidelines and industry best practices.
5. Proofread and edit content for accuracy, organisation, grammar, punctuation, and messaging.
6. Produce projects and distribution plans to ensure timely delivery of publications.
7. Support the application of brand style guides and written guidelines.
8. Enhance templates and tools to achieve a consistent look, feel, and tone of voice across all branded touchpoints.
9. Daily social media management using Sprout Social (training provided).
10. Work with internal stakeholders to confirm course information.
11. Manage printing and distribution deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Tertiary qualification in publishing, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
2. Demonstrated proficiency in project management and the ability to coordinate tasks across various stakeholders.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
4. Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively across all levels of an organisation.
5. Ability to work independently, plan, and execute tasks to meet deadlines.
6. Experience in writing, editing, graphic design, copywriting, publications, marketing, and communications is highly desirable.
7. Important Note: This is a short-term temporary role, so priority will be given to local applicants. Additionally, candidates must either possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Card and Police Check Clearance.
