Production Operator – Day & Night Shift

Reporting to the Line Manager, as a day shift machine Operator your focus will be on operating a range of fixed and mobile plant in a fast-paced environment to manufacture high quality insulation.
Based at our Bradford Insulation site in Ingleburn, you will be a critical member of the wider team and will participate in process improvement activities and safety projects, you will have experience operating a forklift and be available to work across a day and night roster.
To be successful in this role you must hold a current forklift licence, be engaging, have a great attitude, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
Start times: 12-hour shifts = 2 days on and 2 days nights. (7am – 7pm & 7pm – 7am)
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform quality Prestart checklists
* Operate machines to exceed daily, weekly and monthly production targets
* Improve and maintain daily production levels
* Follow work instructions and procedures, specific checklist and accepted "best practices"
* Ensure the highest quality of standards and production
* Housekeeping and other duties as required
* Engage the team to ensure the delivery of safe, low cost, efficient and high-quality production
* Deliver on production KPIs
* Complete routine maintenance tasks & maintain a high standard of housekeeping
* Test operation of machines periodically & fix issues that might occur during the shift
* Maintain activity logs & carry out quality inspections.
What you bring to the role:
* A great work ethic and strong commitment to safe work practices & high regard for safety
* Experience as an operator in a production line
* Physical fitness, as there is manual handling involved
* Have a high attention to detail
* Sound written, verbal communication skills + computer
* Good mechanical minded and trouble shooting ability
* Ability to interact well with others and join the team
* A current forklift license with experience – ESSENTIAL
* The ability to multitask in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
