Senior Organisational Change Management and Communications SpecialistContract to 28 / 02 / 2026 with possible 1 x 12 months extension | Carseldine & Work from HomeJoin a large Queensland government department as a Senior Organisational Change Management and Communications Specialist, responsible for creating and managing OCM artefacts for the IM program and its projects. This role involves building program awareness, developing change and communication plans, conducting stakeholder analysis, maintaining a change advocacy network, and providing high-quality communications and change support for ongoing projects and initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a broad stakeholder base, influencing behavioural and enterprise IM cultural change through developed, targeted OCM strategies and communications campaigns and provide advice to Manager, Change and Adoption to meet agreed OCM goals and outcomes.Manage, lead and mentor communications staff members (2) on effective communication techniques and best practices, ensuring work is timely and of a high quality.Develop, deliver and maintain Communication tactics, plans and schedules to support the Information Management Program and its constituent projects change and adoption activities.Work with program and project resources to identify key stakeholder groups and develop appropriate engagement strategies and manage change champion networks.Identify OCM and IM cultural risks and issues and develop and manage appropriate mitigation strategies.Develop organisational change activity plans and deliver change readiness activities to prepare stakeholders for the change.Actively engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure they are adequately supported through the change.Reporting to the Manager, Change and Adoption, work as a senior member of a team ensuring optimal performance, priorities are met and identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities as required.About YouThis role will require exceptional stakeholder management, organisational coordination, collaboration, presentation, verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and experience developing creative content for various audiences and communication channels.A detailed knowledge and understanding of change management principles, methodologies and tools is required with a minimum of 7 years OCM and communications consulting experience working in a similar capacity on ICT programs / projects.Desirable Requirements:Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communication or a similar discipline would be highly regarded.Experience using graphic design programs (such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign), email marketing systems (Vision 6), video and animation software (Adobe Premiere Pro or Vyond), other software such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Viva Engage, Streams, and surveying software (Survey Monkey or MS Forms).Queensland based candidates only.
