Job Description:
The Role
A permanent full-time Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel position exists at Infinite Care Legal's Corporate Support Centre in Bundall, Gold Coast.
You will be a key support to the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer and other legal team members. A self-motivated and dynamic individual is required who can juggle multiple competing & time-sensitive demands.
This role requires daily office presence for team collaboration and pace of legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial and legal documents
* Providing assistance with mergers and acquisitions, development and construction of new facilities
* Employment law matters
* Managing requests from internal stakeholders and providing reports to senior management personnel
* Providing ad hoc legal advice through research and consultation to support the Infinite Care Group
* Analysing and identifying legal risks and implications
* Coordinating and liaising with external legal advisors and consultants
* General administration requirements and ad hoc projects as directed
* Staying up-to-date on all new laws and regulations affecting the Group
* Resolving complex matters with support from the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer
Requirements:
* 5+ years post-admission experience
* Qualified to practice law in Queensland with relevant law experience gained from a reputable law firm or in-house legal department
* Exposure to the Aged Care sector is advantageous but not essential
* Proven knowledge of legal concepts and their application to achieve effective business outcomes
* Establishing, maintaining, and enhancing positive internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Effective and professional verbal and written communication
* Strong attention to detail, documentation, drafting skills, and timely communication
* Commercial acumen and ability to produce quality work output within quick turnaround times
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
* Strong time management and organisation skills with the ability to multi-task with pace
* A positive attitude and good sense of humour
