Overview of duties
This role will provide accurate, efficient and timely financial information and resources to the Board of Directors, Management team, staff members and clients, Auditors, Funding Bodies, ASIC, ACNC, ATO and any other relevant government departments. The CFO will ensure that the organisation remains complaint with all relevant legislation and regulations. This is a C-Suite leadership opportunity providing strategic financial planning advice and recommendations to CEO, management team and the Board of Directors.
There will opportunity to represent the organisation at external forums, collaborate with other aged care service providers to ensure current programs and processes best meet the needs of service users. Another key responsibility will to identify and report gaps in service provision that could be met by current or potential SCHMMS programs or other service providers.
Essential Criteria
Relevant tertiary Accounting qualifications - CPA or CA
Extensive experience in accrual accounting – MYOB preferred
Diploma/degree in accountancy
Understanding of both the community sector (government funding requirements) and the commercial business sector
Demonstrated experience in the development or maintenance of strategic financial systems
Demonstrated experience in office management and administrative systems including staff supervision (minimum of 3 years)
A high standard of written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of and commitment to client centered service delivery
