I'm working with a large Federal Government department to find a Data Modeller.
Duration: 18 months with 1 x 12 month extension Location: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA Citizenship/Security Clearance requirements: Australian citizens with a minimum baseline clearance As a Data Modeller, you will work closely with data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into logical data models.
You will be responsible for the utility of the data model and the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
You will also work with data stewards to maintain relevant data dictionaries and metadata.
Your expertise in data modelling tools and techniques, and your ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be critical to the success of our data-driven projects.
You will have the following background: Demonstrated ability to design, implement and manage a semantic layer/ontology, enabling users to access data that is modelled to support their analysis Knowledge of industry best practices for design of data models Demonstrated experience working on medium to large sized systems Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data requirements Experience working in agile environments, with an ability to adapt to changes in project direction and stakeholder expectations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation skills.
