Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) manages correctional facilities, supervises offenders in the community, and delivers programs to reduce reoffending and enhance public safety.
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner has an opportunity available for the Senior Executive Assistant (Clerk Grade 7/8). Corrective Services Community Industry and Capacity is a portfolio responsible for:
* Providing opportunities for incarcerated individuals to gain work experience, skills development, and training through industry-based programs within the community, aiming to support their reintegration back into society and reduce reoffending rates.
* Managing and supervising offenders who are sentenced to community-based orders by the courts, overseeing their reintegration into society while they complete their sentences in the community.
* Managing the infrastructure and assets within the Corrective Services portfolio, focusing on strategies to maintain, improve, and develop these assets.
The Senior Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative, executive, and secretarial support to the Deputy Commissioner, within Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW). The role involves:
* Managing executive correspondence, diaries, and scheduling meetings.
* Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
* Preparing and reviewing high-level reports, briefings, and correspondence.
* Coordinating travel arrangements and supporting operational functions.
* Monitoring and improving administrative systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
We are looking for someone who:
* Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Is highly organised and has excellent attention to detail.
* Upholds integrity and confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
* Has a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* Possesses strong technological proficiency, particularly in administrative systems.
* Holds a current driver’s licence and is willing to travel as required.
Job Notes: Part of the assessment process includes additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
