The Editor will manage the editorial workflow, ensuring the production of high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our diverse audiences. This role requires exceptional language proficiency in both English and Mandarin, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial Planning and Content Management:
* Plan and direct the editing of publications such as newspapers, magazines, or journals, ensuring all content aligns with editorial policies and accepted rules of grammar, style, and format prior to printing and distribution.
* Make decisions about the specific content of publications in conjunction with other senior editors.
Research and Reporting:
* Collect and analyse facts about newsworthy events through interviews, printed matter, investigations, and observations.
* Write news reports, commentaries, articles, and feature stories for newspapers, magazines, journals, television, and radio on topics of public interest.
Quality Assurance:
* Review copy for publication to ensure it conforms with accepted rules of grammar, style, and format, coherence of story, and accuracy of content.
* Ensure all written material adheres to ethical standards and is legally sound.
Content Creation:
* Research and write technical, information-based material and documentation for manuals, textbooks, handbooks, and multimedia products.
* Compose written material for advertising products and services for various media platforms, including press, radio, television, cinema screens, billboards, and catalogues.
Editorial Columns and Reviews:
* Critically discuss daily news topics in the editorial columns of newspapers.
* Review books, films, and plays, providing in-depth analysis and opinions.
