About Us
Kingston Centre, located in Cheltenham, is a stand-alone subacute site within Victoria’s largest public health service, Monash Health. Onsite we have a purpose built rehabilitation centre which encompasses a large onsite gym, pool and kitchen amenities for our consumers.We deliver care in inpatient, subacute and community setting and is a key pillar of the Monash Health strategy to provide timely care close to home.
North West 1 (NW1) is a 32 Bed Subacute Rehabilitation Ward specializing in Movement disorders and Geriatric Evaluation & Management (GEM) care. Our patients are from the acute Hospitals or community for Rehabilitation and complex discharge planning. Our subspecialty is the care and management of our clients living with Parkinson’s disease.
We work within a team model of care - and in practicing within this model, we provide our patients and their families, a consistency in their care provision and clear communication across their journey.
About the Role
Are you a Registered Nurses looking to excel your career and grow your clinical knowledge? We have an abundance of learning and leadership opportunities waiting to be explored! Your career can be fast-tracked at Kingston Centre. Gaining clinical skills and experiences supported by education and professional development opportunities, including undertaking specialised functional assessments and working as a family contact lead.
You’ll also have the unique opportunity to work towards undertaking Team Leader shifts. If you have an interest in leadership, you’ll be given the opportunity to supervise other members of the team and to develop your leadership skills in a structured and supportive environment with pathways and education available to make your Leadership goals a reality. Monash Health is a member of ARNA (Australasian Rehabilitation Nursing Association) which opens doors to further study with fully supported scholarships.
We have ongoing positions with both Full Time and Part Time hours available working across a 7-day rotational roster incorporating AM, PM and Night Shift.
What you Bring:
* Enthusiasm, compassion & ability to work collaboratively! As an experienced Registered Nurse you will understand the Clinical requirements of the role however your enthusiasm for ongoing learning and education will make you a stand out!
* Understanding the importance of patient centred care, you have experience as a Registered Nurse and have a genuine interest in working and interacting with our diverse patients.
* Of course you will hold a current AHPRA registration and employee level working with Children’s Check teamed with Australian working rights.
What you need:
* Proven clinical experience working within aged, subacute or rehabilitation – essential
* Flexible working style to adapt to changes through the day
* Compassionate manner, advocating for patients in their vulnerable state
