About the Team
The Workforce and Culture (W&C) Team partners with managers across the organization to achieve strategic goals, delivering all elements of Human Resources including workforce planning, payroll, learning and development, Work Health and Safety (WHS), and employee relations.
The Opportunity
The WHS Advisor is responsible for researching, planning, and developing policy, procedures, and guidelines to implement new initiatives across work health and wellbeing issues, while monitoring compliance and delivering safety initiatives and wellbeing programs.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities/Duties
* Support the Manager Operations to develop and implement work health and safety and wellbeing strategies as required under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act).
* Conduct research and prepare documentation related to work health and safety, wellbeing, and human resource matters.
* Maintain records and assist in developing statistical and analytical reports.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on relevant WHS matters.
* Coordinate meetings, forums, and training related to WHS.
* Assist with WHS risk assessments, audits, and incident management.
* Input and analyze data and WHS records according to document control principles.
* Promote WHS, equity, diversity, and participative management in the workplace.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Experience in delivering WHS administration services and advisory duties.
* Experience in researching matters, interpreting legislation, and report writing.
* Ability to engage with stakeholders and maintain professional networks.
* Experience with HRIMS or database management programs.
Desired Skills and Experience
* A WHS related qualification such as Certificate IV Work Health Safety (or equivalent) is desirable.
